এপিএসসি-র ফলাফলে অখুশি অখিল, মন্তব্যে বিতর্ক
Akhil Gogoi unhappy over APSC results, sparks controversy

১৮ নভেম্বর : বরাক উপত্যকার মানুষ যখন আসাম পাবলিক সার্ভিস কমিশনের ফল নিয়ে খুশি ব্যক্ত করেছেন, ঠিক এই সময়ই রবিবার কৃষক মুক্তি সংগ্রাম সমিতির নেতা অখিল গগৈ বললেন, তারা এই ফলাফলে খুশি নন। গত ১৬ নভেম্বর এপিএসসি-র ফল প্রকাশ হয়েছে। তিনি বলেন, ‘কমিশনে এখনও দুর্নীতি রয়েছে। এপিএসসি-র অর্থের বিনিময়ে চাকরি বাণিজ্যের তদন্তে থাকা এএসপি সুরজিৎ সিং পানিসরের নেতৃত্বে টিমটির কাজকর্মে আমরা মোটেই সন্তুষ্ট নই। পক্ষপাতমূলক তদন্তই চলছে।’

এপিএসসি-র ফলাফল নিয়ে অখিল গগৈর এমন মন্তব্যে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই বরাক উপত্যকার বৌদ্ধিক মহলে প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখা দিয়েছে। কারণ এ বার বরাক উপত্যকায় এপিএসসি-র ফলাফল যথেষ্ট ভাল হয়েছে। উপত্যকার তিন জেলা থেকেই কৃতীরা রয়েছেন তালিকায়। হাইলাকান্দি লালার মারিয়া তানিম তালিকার সর্বোচ্চ স্থানটি দখল করেছেন। কাছাড় থেকেও তালিকায় রয়েছেন দু’জন— এসান সিং সপ্তম স্থান দখল করেছেন, শৌভিক দত্ত রয়েছেন অষ্টাদশ নম্বরে। তাছাড়া করিমগঞ্জ থেকে সমুজ্জল দাস অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট এমপ্লয়মেন্ট পদে নিজের স্থানটি দখল করেছেন। এছাড়া হাইলাকান্দি থেকে জাগৃতি কালোয়ার জুনিয়র গ্রেড অফিসার পদে মোট ৯৫ জনের মধ্যে ৮৯ নম্বর স্থান দখল করেন।

ওয়ে টু বরাকের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে গিয়ে আসাম কলেজ শিক্ষক সংস্থার নেতা চন্দন পালচৌধুরী বলেন, অখিল গগৈ এই মন্তব্য দুর্ভাগ্যজনক। অন্য কয়েকজনও নিজেদের মতামত প্রকাশ করে বলেন, এপিএসসি-র ফলাফলে অখিল গগৈ অখুশি হওয়ার কারণ হল, এ বছর বরাক উপত্যকা ভালো ফল করেছে। তারা অখিল গগৈর এই মন্তব্যকে জাতি বিদ্বেষমূলক বলে আখ্যা দেন।

এমনকি এনআরসি নিয়ে বরাক ও ব্রহ্মপুত্র উপত্যকার মধ্যে যে বিভেদ চলছে অখিল গগৈর এই মন্তব্য তারই পরিণাম বলে তারা উল্লেখ করেছেন। নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক আরেক কলেজ শিক্ষক বলেন, বহু বছর পর এপিএসসি-র ফলাফল পরিচ্ছন্ন হয়েছে। তিনি বলেন, অখিল গগৈর এই মন্তব্য রাজনৈতিক বক্তব্য ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়, কারণ এ বছর বরাক উপত্যকা এপিএসসিতে ভাল ফল করেছে।

November 18: At a time when entire Barak valley is happy with the results of Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) declared on 16 November, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi on Sunday stated that “We are not happy with the result. Corruption is still rampant in the Commission. We are not happy with the team, led by ASP Surjeet Singh Panesar, investigating the cash-for-job scam. A biased investigation is going on.”

This statement of Akhil Gogoi has greeted sharp reaction from the intelligentsia of Barak Valley. This time it was a huge success for the APSC asporants of this valley. All the three districts of the valley carved a niche for itsel in the APSC. Maria Tanim from Lala in Hailakandi topped the list. While from Silchar in Cachar district, Eshan Singh bagged the 7th position whereas Shouvick Dutta secured the 18th position. Apart from them Samujjal Das from Karimganj has been selected for the post of Assistant Employment Officer. The other position seeker is Jagriti Kalwar from Hailakandi. She has bagged the 89^th position out of a total of 95 in the category of Junior Grade Officer.

Speaking to way2barak, Chandan Paul Choudhury, a leader of Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) has termed the comment of Akhil Gogoi as unfortunate. Many others opined that Akhil Gogoi expressed unhappiness with the APSC results because this time Barak Valley performed well. They regarded his comment to be a racial statement and even linked it with the NRC tussle prevailing between the Barak and Brahmaputra Valley. Another college teacher willing to be unnamed said that after many years, the result of APSC appeared to be clean and fair this time. He said that Gogoi’s view is nothing but a politically loaded statement wherein he is unhappy because Barak Valley performed fairly well this time in APSC.
