Fire engulfed 2 shops & a house at Silchar

৮ অক্টোবরঃ শিলচর হাসপাতাল রোডে জগন্নাথ ট্র্যাভেলসের অফিসের বিপরীতে রবিবার গভীর রাতে আগুনে পুড়ে খাক হয়ে গেলো একটি মিষ্টির দোকান৷ পাশের দোকানেরও ব্যাপক ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হয়। পেছনে একটি বাড়িও যথেষ্ট ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ৷

রাতের রাস্তাঘাটে যানবাহন না থাকার দরুন দমকল অবশ্য দ্রুত পৌছে যায়। তাতে বড় ধরনের লোকসানের হাত থেকে বেঁচে যায় গোটা এলাকা৷  আগুন লাগার কারণ জানা যায়নি।

October 8: In an incident of fire, a shop was transformed into ashes on Sunday late night. The fire broke out in a sweets and confectionery store opposite Jagannath travels at Hospital Road, Silchar. Fire also engulfed the adjacent shop. A house situated just behind the shop also suffered great loss due to the outbreak of fire.

However, fire brigades rushed to the spot very fast and extinguished the fire. The spontaneous response by the fire fighters has saved the entire area from a major mishap. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet.
