২৬ নভেম্বর : তাজমহলকে যারা পছন্দ করেন তাঁদের জন্য এক সুসংবাদ। বিশেষ করে আসামের মানুষ এ বার নিজেদের জন্য একটি তাজমহল পেয়ে গেলেন। রেপ্লিকা হলেও ইউনেস্কোর বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্য স্মারকটিকে মানুষ দেখতে পারবেন নিজের রাজ্যে থেকেই। গুয়াহাটির হাতিগাওয়ে এই মিনি তাজমহলের উদ্বোধন করা হয়।

তাজমহলের এই রেপ্লিকার উচ্চতা ১০০ ফুট। আগ্রার মহলটির সঙ্গে এর পার্থক্য হল, মোঘল সম্রাট শাহজাহান তাঁর স্ত্রীর স্মৃতিতে ভালবাসার এই সৌধটি গড়েছিলেন। তবে গুয়াহাটির এই রেপ্লিকা তাজমহল একটি মাঝার, অর্থাৎ হজরত-ই-আলা মুর্তজা শাখভি’র সমাধিস্থল। এই সমাধিস্থলটি তৈরি করতে অর্থ দিয়েছেন মাতাব হোসেন, জাকির হোসেন সহ মুর্তজা শাহর অন্য অনুগামীরা। এটি তৈরিতে সর্বমোট খরচ হয়েছে ৩০ লক্ষ টাকা। গত দু’বছর ধরে নির্মাণ কাজ চলার পর তা শেষ হয়েছে।

এ দিকে, আগ্রার তাজমহলের আদলে এটি নির্মাণ হলেও সবকিছু মূল তাজমহলের মতো নয়। মিনি তাজমহল পুরোটা মার্বেল পাথরের দিয়ে তৈরি করা হয়নি। কিছু কিছু অংশ, বিশেষ করে জানালাগুলো করা হয়েছে মার্বেল পাথর দিয়ে। ভবন তৈরিতে সিমেন্ট বা অন্য যেসব সামগ্রী ব্যবহার করা হয়, এই রেপ্লিকাটিতেও সেসব ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। আধুনিক সাজ-সরঞ্জামও এতে যুক্ত করা হয়েছে। এরই মধ্যে রাজ্য সরকার চত্বরে প্রায় ভেঙে পড়া একটি রাস্তা নির্মাণে এগিয়ে এসেছে। ফলে এই নতুন তাজমহলকে ঘিরে সাধারণ মানুষের আগ্রহ বাড়ছে। আর এটিকে আকর্ষণীয় করে তুললে নিশ্চয়ই তা পর্যটকদের নজর কাড়তে সক্ষম হবে।

November 26: Well, it’s a good news for Taj lovers. Assam now can claim the admiration of having its own mini Taj Mahal. It is not at all a fake news, rather one can be dumbstruck by its resemblance with Taj Mahal at Agra, the UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a monumental structure tall enough of the height and resemblance of the Taj Mahal.

This towering structure, about 100 ft tall, resembling the Taj Mahal at Agra has come up at Hatigaon in Guwahati. This structure has been attracting the attention of curious people from across the city. The structure is actually Hazrat-e-ala Murtaza Shah Shwakhbhi’s Mazār. Mazār means a mausoleum or shrine. The shrine has been commissioned by Matab Husain and Zakir Husain with the support of some other followers of Hazarat-e-ala Murtaza Shah Shwakhbhi’s preachings. The total expenditure incurred so far is said to be about Rs 30 lakh. The construction has been underway for the past two years and is expected to be over soon.

This 100 feet tall, replica in Hatigaon of Guwahati had gathered massive fanfare ever since it has come to news earlier this year. The shrine isn’t built entirely with marble. Only some parts of the structure specially the windows are made from marble. Cement and other materials have been used in the construction. The construction has been underway for the past two years and is expected to be over soon.

The long wait by the people finally came to an end as the structure was officially inaugurated on Sunday. Enthusiastic people crowded the place in large numbers to see the replica of one of the seven wonders of world.
