Youth dies after being electrocuted at Hailakandi

২৭ অক্টোবরঃ হাইলাকান্দি জেলায় বিদ্যুত বিভাগের গাফিলতির দরুন প্রাণ গেল এক যুবকের। নিহতের নাম শাহ আলম শেখ। রতনপুর-ভজন্তীপুর এলাকায় বিদ্যুতের তার বেলা ১২টা নাগাদ আচমকা ছিঁড়ে পড়লে ১৪ বছরের এই কিশোরের মৃত্যু হয়। তাতে এলাকায় বিদ্যুত বিভাদের বিরুদ্ধে তীব্র ক্ষোভ দেখা দিয়েছি।

October 27: A youth lost his life at Hailakandi due to the negligence of the electricity department. The name of the deceased is Shah Alam Sheikh. The 14 year old boy was electrocuted when all of a sudden electric wire fell upon him. The incident occured at Ratanpur-Bhajantipur area of Hailakandi at broad daylight. People demonstrated resentment against the electricity department due to the death of the boy.
