বিজেপিতে যোগ দিলেন রাজেশ সিনহা

৫ ডিসেম্বরঃ বিজেপি-তে যোগ দিয়েছেন জেলা কংগ্রেস সম্পাদক,বিষ্ণুপ্রিয়া মণিপুরি নেতা রাজেশ সিনহা। বুধবার লক্ষ্মীপুরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর জনসভায় তাঁকে দেখে অনেকে বিস্মিত হন। পরে শিলচরের বিধায়ক দিলীপকুমার পাল ডেকে তাঁকে মঞ্চের কাছাকাছি নিয়ে গেলে বিষয়টি পরিষ্কার হয়। তবে মঞ্চে সুযোগ মেলেনি। দিলীপবাবু জানালেন, গ্রিনরুমে গলায় উত্তরীয় পরিয়ে রাজেশবাবুকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বরণ করে নিয়েছেন। রাজেশ সিনহাও বলেন, এ আমার জন্য গৌরবের। এখন নতুন দলের নীতি-আদর্শ-ঐতিহ্য বজায় রাখব।

বঞ্চনা থেকেই দল ছেড়েছেন, খোলামেলা বলেন তিনি। জানান, পশ্চিম শিলচর আসনে দলের টিকিট চেয়েছিলাম। অন্তত একজন বিষ্ণুপ্রিয়া মণিপুরিকে প্রার্থী করতে জোরালো আবেদন জানাই। কিন্তু লাভ হয়নি। তাঁর প্রশ্ন, ৩০ বছর ধরে মনেপ্রাণে কংগ্রেস করে এই বুঝি প্রাপ্য ! তাঁর কতটা জনসংযোগ, এ বার বুঝিয়ে দেবেন বলে চ্যালেঞ্জের সুরে জানিয়ে রাখেন রাজেশবাবু। বলেন, শুধু তিনিই নন, বিজেপিতে আজই নাম লিখিয়েছেন তাঁর অন্তত ৫০ অনুরাগী। দুয়েকদিনের মধ্যে সংখ্যাটি ৩০০ ছাড়াবে, দাবি করেন তিনি।

দিলীপবাবুর কথায়, রাজেশবাবু ভদ্র, সজ্জন মানুষ। তাই কংগ্রেসিদের সঙ্গে খাপ খাওয়াতে পারেননি। অতিষ্ঠ হয়ে দলত্যাগ করেছেন। তাঁর দাবি, তাতে বিজেপির শক্তি অনেকটাই বাড়বে।

এ দিকে, জেলা কংগ্রেসের সাধারণ সম্পাদক পার্থরঞ্জন চক্রবর্তী বলেন, কত বড় বড় নেতা কংগ্রেস ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে গিয়েছেন। কোনওকালে দলের কোনও ক্ষতি হয়নি।

December 5: District Congress general Secretary and leader of the Bishnupriya Manipuri community Rajesh Sinha joined BJP on Wednesday. Many were surprised to see him at the meeting ground at Lakhipur where the Chief Minister was was on poll campaign. But when BJP MLA Dilip Kumar Paul called Rajesh near the dias, things became clear to many. However, he did not get a chance to share the dias with the Chief Minister. MLA Silchar later informed that the Chief Minister welcomed Rajesh to his party by honouring him with a traditional ‘uttorio’ in the green room.

Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Sinha said that he has left Congress because of being unheard by the party leaders. He further stated that Congress turned a deaf ear to his request of giving ticket to atleast one Bishnupriya Manipuri candidate during the ensuing panchayat polls. He regretted for serving a party for 30 long years which fails even to respect the party members. He said that very soon around 300 supporters of the Congress will enlist themselves with BJP.

On the otherhand, reacting to this incident, Partha Ranjan Chakraborty, General Secretary of Cachar District Congress said that so many big leaders have left Congress for their personal gains, but that has failed to have any adverse effect on the party.
