DC Cachar visits relief camps, instruct officials to maintain cleanliness

১৫ জুলাইঃ বন্যাতদের জন্য স্কুল সাফ-সুতরো রাখতে প্রধানশিক্ষককে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক লায়া মাদ্দুরি। তিনি সোমবার কাটিগড়ার ২২৭ নংসূর্যমণি এলপি স্কুলে আশ্রিত বন্যার্তদের  খোঁজখবর নিতে যান l সেখানে ১৪ পরিবারের ৫৬জন আশ্রয় নিয়েছেন।

কাটিগড়ার সার্কেল অফিসার জিতেন্দ্র টাইডকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে তিনি বন্যার্তদের  সমস্যা-সুবিধা সম্পর্কে  খোঁজখবর নেন। পরে স্কুলের প্রধানশিক্ষককে নির্দেশ দেন যাতে স্কুল চত্বর নিয়মিত পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন করা হয় এবং উপযুক্ত স্বচ্ছতা বজায় থাকে l মাদ্দুরি আশ্রিতদের জন্য পানীয় জল, বাথরুম, টয়লেট পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন করে রাখতে সংশ্লিষ্টদের নির্দেশ দেন।

তিনি স্কুলে আশ্রিতদের সমভাবে ত্রাণ সামগ্রী বন্টন করার জন্য সার্কল অফিসারকে নির্দেশ দেন। বেবি ফুড, পানীয় জল, ত্রাণ সামগ্রী সমভাবে বন্টনের ওপরও জোর দেন l কাটিগড়া অঞ্চলে তিন হাজারের অধিক মানুষ এবং সমগ্র কাছাড় জেলায় নয় হাজারের অধিক মানুষ এই বন্যার মত পরিস্থিতিতে জমিজমা, ঘরবাড়ি ইত্যাদি ছেড়ে ত্রাণ শিবিরে আশ্রয় নিয়েছেন।

July 15: Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Laya Madduri visited the Surjamoni LP School at Phulbari under Katigorah constituency on Monday to inquire about the condition of the flood victims who sought shelter in the relief camp therein. Along with Circle Officer Jitendra Taid, DC Madduri spoke to the camp inmates consisting
of 13 families including 52 inmates.

She was apprised about the problems faced by the flood victims. Later she directed the headmaster of the school to maintain cleanliness in the school premises,she enquired about the drinking water provided to them and also instructed the in-charge of the relief camp to take proper care of cleanliness of bathroom and toilets in the school premises.

DC Cachar instructed CO to see that the relief materials, baby food in particular is properly and adequately distributed to the inmates through Social Welfare Department. She also took stock of the situation in the proximity and directed the officials to keep the surroundings clean.She added that electrification done during election has helped in having proper electricity in relief camps. It may be mentioned here that already over 3000 people have been affected by flood in Katigorah and over 9000 people across Cachar are struggling, with water inundating their homes and cropland.
